Our Story
A small bakery with a big appetite for tradition.
Golden Crust began in 2014 in a tiny shopfront on Tyrwhitt Avenue — three ovens, a stone bench and a stubborn belief that bread deserves time. Eleven years later, we're still hand-shaping every loaf, still folding our croissants by sunrise, and still making melktert the way Ouma Annette taught us.
Parisian technique. South African soul. One very long counter that smells like home.
